About

Assalamualaikum and welcome, dear reader.

I’m Ayesha Qureshi, the writer behind this tiny corner of the internet. I’m an Indian, Desi Muslimah on a quiet but determined quest to live Islam with conviction, while unlearning the parts of our culture that keep us away from the beauty of Allah’s wisdom.

I’m also a proud mother of two lovely, energetic little boys who sprinkle chaos and unexpected wisdom into my everyday life. They keep my heart full and my days beautifully unpredictable. And somewhere between their giggles, toys on the floor, and bedtime snuggles, I discovered a voice inside me that longed to write.

What You’ll Find Here

This blog is my space to pour out the lessons life keeps whispering to me, the ones wrapped in Quranic verses, duas, moments of gratitude, sudden realisations, and sometimes even the chaos of motherhood. I write about what moves me, what I’m learning, what I’m unlearning, and the tiny everyday experiences that connect me to Allah.

It is also my safe place where I gently unravel the most heart-wrenching struggle I keep returning to, the tussle between culture and faith. The moments where inherited practices collide with divine guidance are often painful, confusing, and deeply problematic. It is this quiet conflict that compels me to write with honesty and hope.

You will find :

  • Duas that comfort, heal, and gently guide the heart
  • Reflections from my everyday life, especially through the lens of an Indian Muslimah
  • Quranic wisdom that quietly shapes my days and decisions
  • Stories from the Qur’an that mirror real life more closely than we often realise
  • Honest spiritual thoughts, the kind we feel deeply but rarely say out loud
  • Thoughtful reflections on the delicate, often painful tussle between culture and faith, and the journey of choosing Allah’s guidance over traditions
  • Poetry, Books, and so much more….

Why I Write

Because each day teaches me something new about Allah’s divine wisdom

Because motherhood makes you see the world with softer eyes.

Because faith becomes deeper when shared.

And because I truly believe that reminders work best when they come from the heart of someone navigating the same life tests.

If my words bring you even a moment of sukoon, clarity or closeness to Allah, then this small effort of mine is worth everything.

Thank you for being here and reading my heart.
